As a Catholic school we are guided by the words and example of Jesus Christ. Our challenge is to live and learn the Gospel values and the traditions of our Catholic faith. If we fail in this duty then we are not making our school distinctively Catholic. Visitors to St Michael’s should instantly recognize that we are a Catholic school and a part of the broader Catholic Church. The things that people see and hear in our school should speak of the Church. As a school and parish community we must stand tall and be proudly Catholic.
Our school motto, “Love and Loyalty”, should inspire us in our words and actions. The Gospel message, “This is my commandment, love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12) defines for us the very nature of our relationship with each other. If we are to be authentic, Catholic people it is obvious that love will underpin our interaction with everyone that we know and meet in life. We must be loyal to each other, loyal to our school, and most importantly, loyal to our God and Church.
Welcome to St Michael's Primary School Lane Cove one of the popular educators in your Lane Cove area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
