University Australia introduces Hinton Public School in Hinton, for all your education and learning needs.
Hinton Public School is situated 10 kilometres east of Maitland at the junction of the Paterson and Hunter Rivers. The school is the second oldest in the state, last year celebrating its Sesquicentenary. The school site itself is a mixture of new and old buildings. Three of the buildings are heritage listed. In recent times additional buildings have been added to the site with a new infants' block and three air conditioned demountable classrooms. The school draws its students mainly from the Hinton/Wallalong village areas of Port Stephens Shire. The school motto states that 'Every Little One Counts'. So we believe in having a caring, safe environment where students feel happy and confident about themselves and others. We believe each child should receive appropriate recognition for effort and have opportunities to reach their full potential. As a consequence we believe that the students should participate in, and be challenged by, a balanced sequential curriculum appropriate to their stage of development.Welcome to Hinton Public School one of the popular educators in your Hinton area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
